Wellington is known as the city of winds, precisely because it is located between the North and South Islands of New Zealand and the Cook Strait that separates both. The capital of New Zealand is the cultural seat of the country where dance companies and major museums like Te Papa are located. Here you see university students walking along with executives, politicians, hippies and tourists.

The city offers a rich nightlife and several restaurants, bars and cafes, for all tastes and budgets. There are not an abundance of exchange schools, so an interesting option for those who want to learn English and have more contact with the local culture.
