The Poti River Canyon is a phenomenon created by the passage of the Poti River through a geological crack located in the Serra da Ibiapaba between Piauí and Ceará. The Poti Canyon extends over four municipalities: Crateús, in Ceará, Castelo, Buriti dos Montes and Juazeiro, in Piauí.

The access is made through two side roads, one through the city of Juazeiro do Piauí and another through the city of Castelo do Piauí, in the rainy periods the access is made impossible by the floods of the Poti River. Although it is known and disseminated through the local and state press, it is still little visited, but its beauty already attracts ecotourists and adventurers from various parts of the country and also from abroad.
